Spring League will run from May 2, 2020 until June 21, 2020

When does registration start/end?

Registration starts on January 1, 2020 and ends on February 14, 2020.

How do I register?
You can only register online, which will allow you to use your credit card (preferred method) or you can pay with direct debit/email money transfer through online banking to  No cheques will be accepted.

How much does it cost to register a player?
For the 2020 season the cost will be $195 to register a player. Late registration will run from February 15, 2020 until February 28, 2020 and the cost will be $220. 

Do I have to register online?
Yes, you can only register online, there are no in person registrations.

Can I register more than one player at a time?
You can register as many players as you'd like online as long as a payment is made at the time of registration or email money transfer is selected and an etransfer completed.

How many players can play on a team?
In the Moose Jaw Youth Flag Football League we make every effort to have no more than 8 - 10 players per team.  There is a maximum of 10 players per team.

How many games a week will my child be playing? (Spring League ONLY)
Every team will play one game a week on Saturday or Sunday. The first games will always start at 9:00am with the second game following at the same location until all groups have played. We start with the 6/7 division, 8/9 division, then 10/11 division, 12/13 division, 14/15 division and end the day with the senior division (if applicable).  Saturdays will be our preferable game day, but Sundays may be required due to scheduling conflicts at Elks Field.

Where will the games be played?
We will be playing our Spring games at Elks Field.
Can my child play up an age group or down an age group?
The league only allows you to play up an age group (extenuating circumstance), special consideration may be made for a smaller, inexperienced child to play down an age group.  Division is determined by the child's age as of December 31, 2020.

How many times will my child practice a week? (Spring League ONLY)
Practice times and frequency are determined by the coach. Some teams will practice once or twice a week. This is completely up to the coach of your child's team, and is not controlled by the league.  Please respect the coaches wishes in regards to practice.

Where will we practice?
The league has booked Elks Field and Regal Field for practices, Monday - Thursday, 6-8pm.  Coaches can also practice on Prairie South School Division fields, but should contact the school principal for permission prior to practicing.  

Do I need to be certified to coach?
You must be certified in Respect in Sport, which is a 2 hour online course If you have already completed this course with another sport you must log in and add Football as a sport to your file.
You do need to attend a coaches meeting that will be held  at the Yara Centre in April 2019 with date and time TBD. This meeting is MANDATORY.  All Head Coaches will be reimbursed the equivalent of one player registration fee at the end of the season.
Can I put in a request to play with certain players?
You may put a request for a certain player in the comments section when registering online, but there are no guarantees. 

What do I need for my child to play flag?
Your child will need to wear solid coloured shorts with NO stripes or pockets, and cleats for footwear(metal cleats are not allowed). Mouth guards are mandatory.  All other equipment will be provided.

If my child doesn't like flag, can I get a refund?
All requests for a refund must be made in writing to  Prior to the start of the season fees will be returned less a $60 administration fee. After the start of the season on April 20, 2020 until May 1, 2020 fees will be returned less a $80 administration fee. There will be no refunds issued after May 1, 2020.
